Children change so very very quickly. It is always such a special moment for us at Christie Kohlhaas Photography when we photograph a child and can capture the personality of that child. We don't do the typical "look at the birdie and smile" type of photography offered by the large chain stores. We specialize in enduring portraits that show the true personality of the child, not just what a child looked like on a particular day. We find such joy when a parent looks at a portrait that we have made and exclaims, "You've captured the essence of who she is!"

We photograph children in a very relaxed atmosphere without a lot of distractions and without strict time guidelines. Christie is the parent of three young children and realizes that it takes some children a while to warm up. That's why we have generous time allowances for our youngest clients.

We like to get down on the floor and play with the child and capture the joy of that child at play. We offer either indoor or outdoor portraits in our rural Millstadt studio or we can accommodate special requests for scenic locations throughout the St. Louis metro area.
